The April 1984 issue of Baseball Cards Magazine featured a short but fascinating piece titled “The Rarest Reggies,” likely written by editor and publisher Bob Lemke. The article opens with discussion of the famous 1977 Topps proof card picturing Reggie Jackson as a Baltimore Oriole — a card that Keith Olbermann would later describe as “The most publicized and valuable Topps Proof…” in the August 1985 issue of the magazine.
