Back in October 2024, I shared a lot of 24 1969 Topps Basketball Wax Packs that Mastro had sold in April 2004. However, I still don’t have its final sales price. Well, in December 2007, Mastro sold a lot of ten GAI-graded 1969 Topps Basketball wax packs (five 7.5s, four 7s, and one 6.5) but this time I have know the final price. $9,799 total, or just under $1,000 per pack.
In 2007 this was considered a strong price.
Fast forward to April 2025: BBCE Auctions sold a single PSA 8–graded 1969 Topps Basketball wax pack, one of just 17 PSA-graded examples that exist today, for $26,880.
It’s like a totally different hobby.
