Two Cards For The Price Of One

Bill Bossert wrote an article about the 1955 Topps Doubleheaders set, along with a few thoughts on the T201 Mecca Double Folders, that appeared in the October 1984 issue of Baseball Cards Magazine. He opened by wondering whether the Doubleheaders release had any influence on Topps’ rivalry with Bowman, which ultimately ended with Bowman selling out to Topps in 1956. Enjoy this great hobby writing!

Don’t forget to check out more pieces like this on the Hobby Resources page. Happy collecting!

P.S. As Bossert said, the panoramic views from the New York Stadiums are amazing when you lay the cards out side by side; I shared an uncut panel of them back in November 2024.
