In the summer of 2019, REA offered an original flexichrome artwork piece for Sid Hudson, said to be tied to his 1954 Topps card.
However, when compared to the issued card, the artwork and final product don’t really match.
Interestingly, the artwork features the word “OUT,” suggesting it may have been rejected in favor of the final design. Still, the 8 x 4-3/4 inch piece, mounted on artist’s board measuring 8-1/4 x 5-1/8 inches, is a striking piece of hobby history.

There’s several of these of different players – from 1955. I have one of Kal Segrist. It’s likelier they are players pulled from the ’55 set, not ’54. Hudson was released by the Red Sox on April 7, 1955
