Three More Incredible 1952 Topps Uncut Panels

I’m a sucker for just about any uncut material from the 1952 Topps baseball set, and here are three more pieces I haven’t yet shared on the blog.

Mastro offered all three across two lots in its August 2007 auction. The first was a 25-card, 5-by-5 red-back low-number panel featuring Duke Snider, Gil Hodges, Robin Roberts, Allie Reynolds, and Ed Lopat.

The other lot contained two 10-card panels from the tougher semi-high-number series, covering cards #281–300.

There’s an interesting wrinkle with the panel featuring Joe DeMaestri in the top left corner. I’m curious whether it might have been cut from the larger 15-card panel Mastro offered in May 2000 that I previously featured on the blog. Figuring that out would require modern photos of both panels rather than the poor catalog scans I have here.

Happy collecting!
