One of the coolest items, period, that I ran across at this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention was this 1962-63 Topps Hockey uncut sheet, featuring all 66 cards in the set, including 14 Hall of Famers.

Naturally, the glare from the ceiling light is drowning out the set’s key card, Bobby Hull, but not nearly as badly as it is the Andy Hebenton card.
The owner was kind enough to let me take a photo of the sheet, though I neglected to ask to see the back. He mentioned that it came from the 1989 Guernsey’s Topps Auction. However, I don’t see this sheet pictured in the catalog. There are some errors in the book, though, so it could have been mislabeled, or the owner may simply have been misinformed.

Here’s some more uncut sheet eye candy from the next page of the catalog.

If you have any more insight into this incredible collectible, let me know, and I’ll update this post with it. Also, if you’re interested in this sheet, and 1962-63 Topps Hockey, you need to read Change of Paice on The Topps Archives.
Happy collecting!
