I’ve never seen a BBCE-wrapped 1974 Topps Baseball Vending Box, but in August 2004, Mastro sold a half case of 12 encapsulated by GAI (only six pictured).
I can’t guarantee that BBCE hasn’t ripped a case to authenticate boxes, though. Collect Auctions sold an empty case in July 2021 (likely from Fritsch, who may be where those GAI-wrapped ones came from).
Also, notice that the case has a note saying 4th series. Mile High Card Co. sold a quarter from that series for $4,674 in January 2010. I’d never buy a raw vending box, though; there’s no way to guarantee they haven’t been searched.
Heritage sold another raw 1974 Topps Vending Box in January 2024 for $3,140, so there’s demand for these. Imagine what one with a case ripped provenance from BBCE would command?!
