1970 Topps #9 Checklist 1-132

The 1st Series Checklis has no variations, but I’ve included a photo for completeness.

The 2nd Series 1970 Topps checklist has two versions; one where #226 Is R Perranoski and the other where #226 Is R. Perranoski (R with a dot). 226 is the last card listed in the first column on the back, and the version with the dot is slightly scarcer.

The 3rd Series 1970 Topps checklist has two variations; one where the baseball player at the top of the card’s front is holding a brown bat and another where his bat is red. The brown bat on front version is the tougher find.

1952 Topps #343 373-459

The 4th Series checklist has the same printer variations that the 3rd Series checklist does; one with a brown bat and the other with a red bat. The cards have pretty similar populations.

The 5th Series checklist, my favorite, has two variations; one where “BASEBALL” in the top cell on the front is in white, and another where “BASEBALL” is in yellow. The yellow version is just slightly scarcer.

The 6th Series checklist also has two variations; one where the ball player is holding a brown bat and another where his bat is a more subtle grey color. The brown bat version is scarcer.

1952 Topps #588 634-720

The 7th Series checklist variations are in the spelling of card #666 in the second column on the front. In one version, “Adolfo Phillips” is printed; in the other, it’s “Adolpho Phillips.” The cards have similar graded populations.
