In the Spring 1992 issue of Topps Magazine (Issue 10), Bruce Chadwick wrote a short piece called Games People Played. With the subtitle “sports memorabilia collectors are clamoring for all sorts of vintage sports games, some that they loved as kids,” it touches on sports-themed games as a collecting interest.
