I previously shared, with envy, a cool B.F. Goodrich Bob Cousy “P.F.” Basketball Shoe Advertisement, well, I think this Wall Mount might be the more desirable piece!
This incredible wall mount, featuring a Bob Cousy floating head on the right, sold for $506 in 1999 and was described as follows:
An early basketball advertisement for B.F. Goodrich “P.F. Flyers.” The 9-1/2″ x 34-1/2″ wall mount features a headshot of the Cooz, leader of the five-time consecutive Champion Boston Celtics from 1959-63. This colorful ad dates from the late 1950s and has a center fold, but still is in Excellent condition. A great colorful basketball display from the early NBA!
The only other example of the sign that I could track down was in SportsAntique’s review of the 2006 National, where they described in the booth synopsis of hobby veteran Tony Bussineau, who was asking $500 for it.
