Swift’s Premium Franks Baseball Star Standups Advertisement

Swift Meats released this unique 18-card standup set in two ways. Collectors could get one card in a package in Swift Meat’s Premium Franks, or they could get the complete set directly through the mail by sending in a mail-in coupon, two package labels, and 25 cents. Swift sent back all 18 cards in three 6-card panels and a folded paper baseball field gameboard in a unique white envelope.

Individually, the numbered die-cut cards feature rounded corners and have a bunch of pieces that could be punched out and put together and used on the game board, which features the baseball game instructions. Each card has the player’s name, position, and team,

1957 Swift Meats Examples and Sales

There are quite a few graded cards on the market; 613 from PSA and 164 from SGC. Among them are 64 PSA 10s and nine SGC 10s.

There have been a few notable completely graded set sales. In May 2021, Heritage sold one that included four 9s for $2,340.

And in the Summer of 2022, REA sold a set with 17 Gem Mt 10s and a single PSA 9 (Hank Aaron) for $6,000.

As for uncut sheets with the original mailer, one of the priciest was in the Spring of 2009 when REA sold one for $3,819.
