Size: 3 1/2″ by 5 1/2″
Number in Set: PSA and the Standard Catalog say 11 cards, but I believe the Tom McBride / Milo Candini and Mark Christman / Clarence Difani postcards are newly discovered, making 13 total.
1948 Gunther Beer Washington Senators Postcards Overview
This incredibly scarce postcard issue was supposedly available by writing to the Senators’ radio service (Arch McDonald).
The postcards feature black-and-white photos of two players on each card (Joe Kuhel, the manager, has his own card). The players’ names are printed in black text and all capital letters towards the bottom of each photo.
The backs have a pre-printed message saying that “Arch is brought to you Monday through Saturday at 6:30 P.M. on WTOP by GUNTHER’S, the dry, beery beer.”
