Get With The Program!

Here’s another classic piece of hobby writing via Topps Magazine’s Summer 1992 issue, all about getting your hands on a piece of baseball history: programs! Well done, Bruce Chadwick!

As a bonus, here’s one of my favorites, just from a visual perspective, which, unfortunately, I don’t own: an 1888 Cincinnati “Accordion Style” Program featuring Tony Mullane on the cover. The scorecard is from an American Association game between Cincinnati and Brooklyn that featured Hall of Famer Bid McPhee in the preprinted lineup.

Don’t forget to check out the hobby resources page for more great writing like this. Happy collecting!
