Overview
The unnumbered 1972 NFLPA stickers set comprises 20 stand-up stickers of a photograph of the player’s face atop a hand-drawn body. Beneath the image is the player’s name and “©1972 N.F.L.P.A.” No team logos or names were used, which is common in player association sets due to the leagues’ licensing costs.
The Joe Namath and Dick Butkus stickers each have reverse negative variants.
The stickers are said to have been made available in vending machines.
