Title: Jack in the Box San Diego Rockets
Size: 2″ by 3″
Number in Set: 14
The fast-food chain Jack-in-the-Box sponsored this San Diego regional card release.
The fronts feature a posed head and shoulders shot of each player. Beneath the photo, centered, is the team name and player’s name with the San Diego Rockets team logo on the left and Jack-in-the-Box logo on the right side of the text. The backs are blank, leaving the set unnumbered.
The key cards are Pat Riley and Evlin Hayes (their first pro cards).
Some collectors believe that Harry Barnes and Henry Finkel were short prints in a version of the set that Jack-in-the-Box released in 1968 and that they reissued the set in 1969 (with higher print numbers), replacing them with Bobby Smith and Bernie Williams.
