Overview
The 1962 York Iron-On Transfers are super tough to find; PSA has only graded 95 of them. There’s also some debate about when they came out, but based on the players selected, the hobby has concluded that they’re likely a 1962-63 release.
York put the transfers under the lids of their peanut butter and on bags of peanuts; therefore, they were folded in the middle for packaging.

York also distributed blank pennants for 25 cents that fans could iron the transfers on. I’m not exactly sure what the pennants York distributed looked like; some of these photos may be homemade versions.

They also made a few iron-on team logos available through a mail-in offer (Toronto, Montreal, or Detroit).

Each transfer is a simple hand-drawn head-and-shoulders player portrait with a facsimile autograph along the bottom. Beneath the portion meant to be transferred are directions and the card’s number.
There’s also one short print since card number 30 was used for both Andre Pronovost and the much rarer Vic Stasiuk.
