Year: 1962
Title: Kahn’s Wieners
Size: 3 1/4″ x 4 3/16″
Number in Set: 38
Overview
The 1962 Kahn’s football cards look similar to the previous three releases with a black-and-white player portrait, facsimile autograph, and slogan on the fronts. However, the set size bounced up by two to 38, with players from eight different teams. A few players from the Bears, Lions, Vikings, Rams, Eagles, and Colts join sixteen Browns and fourteen Steelers.
The most significant design difference in 1962 is that the statistics on the back are double-spaced, and Kahn’s printed the player’s name in a bold font. The album offer wasn’t included in 1962 as it was in 1960 and 1961.
PSA has graded 507 1962 Kahn’s wieners cards across the entire set (SGC has graded 129); this time, the average grade from PSA is a 7.
Robert Edward Auctions sold this complete set for $3900 in the fall of 2018.

Key Cards
For the first time in Kahn’s football card history, Jim Brown isn’t the set’s key card, that distinction, in 1962, belongs to Fran Tarkenton.
