Overview
The 1955 Rawlings baseball card set consists of 6 hand-cut cards of Stan Musial from boxes of Rawlings baseball gloves he endorsed. Musial didn’t have any Bowman or Topps cards between 1954 and 1957, so these cards were one of the few ways kids could get a copy.
The cards feature black and white photos against a blue background. Each card has its number on the top left, a facsimile autograph, and the words “A Rawlings Trading Card.” The backs are blank.
Cards 1A and 2A are smaller than cards 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Here’s a complete box that Robert Edward Auctions sold in the fall of 2018 for $1560.
