1955 Kahn’s Wieners Reds Overview
The 1955 Kahn’s (an Ohio meat company) Wieners are the first of a long line of cards (through 1969) from the food manufacturer. The six cards of Redlegs players were released at a single-day promotional event at a Cincinnati amusement park, so they’re incredibly scarce. The players were available at the park on the release day to sign autographs.
The cards feature black and white photos of the players in street clothes on the front along with a facsimile autograph and blank backs. The card bottoms have a white panel with Kahn’s advertising message.
